Thank you for choosing me as your

coach on your journey.

As your coach I’ll partner with you to help you to maximize your personal and professional potential and achieve your goals. Before we begin the coaching engagement I want to make sure that you have all the information you’ll need to enable your success in the coaching engagement. This welcome guide includes information on the following important topics.

  • The role of the coach and client

  • How we’ll communicate

The Coach and Client have distinct roles.

 

As your coach you can expect me to: 

  • Commit to an open, honest, nonjudgemental and collaborative relationship

  • Respect confidentiality 

  • Support you in identifying goals and strategies to reach your aspirations 

  • Assist you in gaining clarity about what you value and your purpose, or vision of a specific area/focus point 
in your life, or of life in a holistic sense 

  • Encourage you to take action in key areas, initiate moving to what you want, initiate resolving barriers or 
challenges to moving forward 

  • Listen carefully to what you say, asking questions, and providing candid feedback 

  • Share resources and tools when appropriate

  • Acknowledge and honor you and your process 

As a client I expect you to:  

  • Be committed to your own goals and vision 

  • Come to each coaching session prepared with what you want to discuss 

  • Experiment with new approaches, try new behavior and perspectives 

  • Take ownership for your progress and success 

  • Share feedback on what is working and not working in the coaching engagement

  • Keep focused on what is important to you – provide that information throughout our process together

In addition to project milestones and check-ins, you are also welcome to message or email me at any time throughout our project! I’ll always respond within 24 business hours (Monday through Saturday - 9am -3pm EST time).

Our sessions.

Our coaching engagement consists of one-hour virtual coaching sessions via Zoom. A Zoom link to the sessions will be included in the appointment confirmation email. If we experience connectivity challenges we may opt to use another communication mode such as WhatsApp or Mobile phone.

Session Structure: Typically, during the first session we spend a good chunk of time getting really clear on your desired outcomes of the coaching engagement and specifically clarifying your behavioral goals.

Generally, all coaching sessions follow the structure below, however, bear in my mind that this structure is not set in stone and is influenced by what you bring to the session.

  1. Identify the specific topic for the session (client comes prepared with topic)

  2. Set the goal or outcome for the session based on client’s desires

  3. Discuss progress on goals/actions taken since prior session

  4. Coach the Client

  5. Identify and commit to action

  6. Discuss accountability

Rescheduling/Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule a session please use the booking link in your session confirmation email. Please aim to cancel or reschedule sessions no more than 24 hours in advance of your scheduled session. If you are cancelling with less than 24 hours notice please send an email to info@loisjeffers.com.

Late policy: If you believe you will be more than 15 minutes late to a scheduled session please reschedule your session for a more convenient time.

01. Schedule Your First Session

Use the link in your welcome email or the button below to schedule your first session. We will identify a mutually agreeable time and date for your remaining sessions. You will receive calendar invites for the remaining sessions of your engagement after our first session.

02. Log Into And Explore The Client Portal

You received information on how to access the Client Portal  in your welcome email. This is where you’ll be able to find all of our documents (contracts, emails, invoices, and coaching exercises) in one place. Be sure to bookmark the link so you can easily find it or you can find the login button in the footer of my website.

03. Complete New Client Questionnaire Before Your First Session

Complete the New Client Questionnaire at least 24 hours before our first session. You may also review the Coaching Readiness Assessment before your first session. You’ll find both questionnaires in your Client Portal.
